About the partnership
The Greater London Authority is responsible for the care, control and management of Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square Gardens.
Our heritage wardens have been supporting the Authority in discharging this duty since 2011 by acting as ambassadors for visitors and enforcers of bylaws and successfully managing lawful protests whilst deterring anti-social behaviour.
It takes a special type of individual to become a heritage warden. We invest time in our recruitment process, provide continuous specialist training and conduct continuous assessments of our heritage wardens to ensure that we only supply the best people for this role. Due to this recruitment approach, we have seen a dramatic transformation in our service levels since 2011, demonstrating that our investment in our people delivers outstanding results.
