Amulet has been shortlisted in three categories for IFSEC’S Security & Fire Excellence Awards. Now in its 19th year, the awards highlight the best people, projects and processes that have shaped the security and fire sectors over the course of the past 12 months. Amulet has made the final round in the Event Security Team, Security Training Initiative, and Security Manager of the Year categories.
The entry for Event Security Team was prepared with the input of Kat Hart, Head of Close Protection & Luxury Retail. A particular focus was paid to Amulet’s contracts with ZSL London Zoo and the Royal Opera House’s big screen event series held in Trafalgar Square earlier this year. The second, Security Training Initiative, detailed the work of Head of HR Tracey Cheung in compiling a training programme for the Heritage Wardens on The Greater London Authority’s contract at Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square Gardens. Thirdly, the Security Manager of the Year entry was submitted by Amulet on behalf of Iain Palmer, Head of Revenue Protection and Security at long term customer Trenitalia c2c Rail. Iain has spent 23 years in the rail industry, and his management of the integration of technology, and of his team, has been highly effective in dealing with security issues across the 26 stations under his control.
The Awards ceremony will be held at the prestigious Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London, on Wednesday 21st November and attended by up to 1,000 security and fire practitioners.
