We have won the ‘Partners in Expert Services – Public Sector’ award at the PFM Awards 2020 for our work with the Greater London Authority (GLA). This is the second consecutive year that Amulet has won this category. Last year the category recognised our partnership with Trenitalia c2c Limited (trading as c2c).
The GLA, provides strategic government for London. Among its numerous duties, the GLA is responsible for the care, control and management of Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square Gardens.
2021 marks the 10th anniversary of our partnership with the GLA having first started working together in 2011. We provide highly trained Heritage Wardens to serve the two popular public spaces. They act as ambassadors for visitors, enforce the Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square Gardens bylaws, uphold Part 3 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, assist with managing protests, deterring anti-social behaviour and keeping the Squares safe for the public to enjoy.
The partnership has gone from strength to strength, with Heritage Wardens helping to manage an increased number of mass protests and reducing the number of pickpocket incidents and deterring anti-social behaviour on Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square Gardens.
Our Managing Director, Darren Read, said: “Winning this award is a testament to the GLA, our Heritage Wardens and the entire management team. We have continued to overcome new challenges, implement innovative solutions and train the Wardens to the highest standard. This win is fantastic recognition and we’re all delighted.”
The PFM Partnership Awards recognise the essential requirements in forging effective partnerships in the FM industry and have been running since 2007.
