We’re delighted to announce that our MD, Darren Read, has won City Security magazine’s Article of the Year Award. Darren’s article, entitled ‘Security in 2021 and beyond’, analysed the continuing challenges and responses to the global pandemic and the impact it has had on the way we manage security.
Darren breaks down how the way the public view activities like socialising and shopping has changed due to the pandemic. In turn, this has impacted how we view security, and the roles and tasks security officers will have to take on as a result.
Don Randall MBE, Chairman of the City of London Crime Prevention Association, hosted the ceremony and discussed how City Security prides itself on the variety and high quality of articles it publishes. He said: “We consistently receive positive feedback on the calibre of the articles and the magazine.”
The initial shortlist of 12 nominees were selected from articles published between autumn 2020 and summer 2021. The three articles with the most online views from each quarterly edition of City Security were shortlisted. The articles were then open to a vote from City Security subscribers.
We are extremely proud of the work completed by Darren and all of team here at Amulet. Darren is a frequent contributor to City Security as well as other security titles, and has cemented his position as a thought leader in our sector.
